I’ve always been an advocate of Lemon Tree hotels. I stayed at the Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort in Goa a couple of years back and loved their hospitality and the property was lovely too!
So when it was time to plan a trip to the city of Pune, my first Google search was for a hotel in Pune under the aegis of Lemon Tree, and was ecstatic to get a positive result!
As one of the hotels near Pune airport, it was an obvious choice! A fifteen hour flight later, we were exhausted and it was great that the hotel checked us in, in a jiffy!

We went straight to bed, and later had a rejuvenating swim in the pool. Then, it was time for some food- it had been nearly 5 hours since we’d eaten and we were ravenous!
The hotels main eatery- the Citrus Café, did not disappoint. The red Thai curry- my favorite, was absolutely divine! Our friends- a little less adventurous in their food choices, stuck to the regular sandwiches and burgers- although those were good too!
I did a little more experimenting the second day- and tried some Chicken Butter Masala! Truly, I am in love with Indian food now.
The spices, the flavors, the aromas- just wonderful!
We really enjoyed our stay at Lemon Tree Pune. Would have liked to stay longer but duty beckons!
